We’re delighted with the news that composer Frank Denyer, who’s 2019 book ‘In the Margins of Composition’ is proudly published through Composers Edition by our partners at Vision Edition, has won the highly prestigious RPS Large-Scale Composition Award for his monumental work The Fish that Became the Sun (Songs of the Dispossessed) which received its premiere at the 2019 Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival by the Octandre Ensemble.
Denyer’s creative impetus has taken him all over the world, from the UK to Japan, Senegal to the US on a lifetime quest to cultivate an intangible musical territory. In the Margins of Composition brings together reflections on the obsessions of a life spent in contemplation and creation, its impulses and influences with a personal review of his works and constitutes an indispensable and concise personal window on a unique artistic journey.
