On Wednesday 3rd April, pianist and composer Richard Whalley offers a concert of contemporary piano music exploring the full range of colours and resonances of the piano, contrasting highly differentiated characters of movement with stasis.
The programme includes Richard Whalley’s own Kinderszenen, alongside three new works by postgraduate composers of the University of Manchester specially written for this concert, and music by Judith Weir and Helmut Lachenmann.
There will be a collection for the Save the Children Yemen Crisis Appeal.
Kinderszenen, as well as other works by Richard Whalley, are proudly available for purchase through Composers Edition website.
