Richard Birchall’s piece Mirrors for cello octet will be receiving its US premiere on Wednesday 10 July as part of the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival at University of Vermont.
‘Mirrors’ is a set of three short studies in musical reflections. Visually this is evident in the interaction between each player and his or her opposite number – but the symmetrical bug infects the music itself, both within individual melodic ideas and in the structure of each piece as a whole.
Composers Edition is proud to publish Richard Birchall’s works, including Mirrors, which are available for purchase through our website.
