Throughout September pianist Clare Hammond is premiering Richard Barnard’s new piano work Neanderthal Ballads at venues in Scotland and England.
The work is a set of 6 short pieces inspired by descriptions and discoveries of Neanderthal culture. It was commissioned by and written for Clare Hammond with support from the John S Cohen Foundation, Hinrichsen Foundation and RVW Trust.
