Philip Cashian’s Leonora Pictures, a 20 minutes piece for 8 instruments is being performed by Aspen Festival ensemble conducted by Timothy Weiss at Aspen Festival, Colorado on Saturday 13th July.
The Aspen Music Festival and School was founded in 1949 and is regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States. Philip Cashian’s work features in a concert dedicated to chamber music, programme including works by Copland, Mozart, Shostakovich/Atovmyan and Schnittke.
Later in the month, Cashian’s The Songs Few Hear for soprano and piano will be performed by Donna Lennard and Gavin Roberts on Wednesday 24 July at St Marylebone Festival.
