UPROAR, a new music ensemble of Wales under the direction of Michael Rafferty, will be presenting their 10×10 project in the Bangor Music Festival 2019. This project features 10 newly commissioned works by 10 Wales’ composers, which includes Composers Edition very composers Lynne Plowman and Andrew Lewis.

This concert is a repeat of the group’s inaugural concert that happened in Cardiff last October, which received enthusiastic reception by audience and critic:

‘Andrew Lewis’ Étude aux objects simply felt organic and integrated’. Guardian

‘UP, by Lynne Plowman, ended the sequence on an exuberant note’. Guardian

On the same day, Andrew Lewis’ new work Earthline will be premiered by Richard Craig. This is a piece for bass flute and electronics based on computer analysis of birdsong.

This promises to be one more day of great concerts in this landmark festival of contemporary music in Wales!

Composers Edition is proud to publish music by both Lynne Plowman and Andrew Lewis, whose music scores can be found through our website.
