Liz Lane’s Surtal Symphony Taster Gets First Outing

Composed as part of her composer residency with Lydbrook Band, Liz Lane is creating Surtal Symphony for Bhangra band, brass band and soprano voice.  A 45 minute piece Surtaal Symphony is a cross-cultural collaboration with The RSVP Bhangra with additional words by Andy Rashleigh, blending and inter-weaving Western and Punjabi musical traditions.

Join RSVP Bhangra Band and Lydbrook Band, conducted by Ian Holmes on Saturday 30th June for the first ever performance of Liz Lane’s Surtaal Suite, a Surtaal Symphony taster, at Proms in the Park in the beautiful grounds of the Speech House Hotel, Royal Forest of Dean. An action packed afternoon and evening starts at 3pm and goes on until 10pm. Tickets are only £10, children 16 and under free: available here or contact Barbara Morgan on 01594 860944. Liz Lane Profile & Works
