Wednesday 27th March 2019 brings another performance of Ian Stephens’ Oboe Quintet by the The Liverpool Philharmonic Oboe Quintet, comprising five current members of the RLPO: Jonathan Small – oboe, Mihkel Kerem and Andrew Harvey – violin, Gwendolyn Cawdron – viola and Alexander Holladay – cello.  It was originally commissioned by the Rodewald Concert Society and written in memory of two Liverpool oboists, David Dutch and Monica Nurnberg, and premiered by Jonathan Small with the Brodsky Quartet in 2014.
