Larry Goves The Book of Matthew will receive its Australian premiere with Argonaut Ensemble on Saturday 7 September. The concert is part of BIFEM (Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music).
The Book of Matthew is a wordless setting of Matthew Welton’s ‘The book of Matthew’, for flute, saxophone, guitar, and cello with video projection.
In The Book of Matthew the voice of the listener is called upon to fill in the gaps, as text and sound powerfully affect each other in a co-mingling of poetry with instrumental colour.
The Book of Matthew, as well as other works by Larry Goves are proudly available with Composers Edition.
