This Saturday 16th February, soprano Fanie Antonelou and pianist Apostolos Palios perform Ion Marmarinos’s The Horses, at the Kalamata Philharmonic Hall, (Kalamata, Greece).
The Horses is set on a poem by Ted Hughes, where the music attempts to reflect the vivid theatricality demonstrated in the text. Marmarinos says:
I perceive this poem as the struggle between Angels (horses) and forces of evil.
