Exciting news from Gustavo Díaz-Jerez about his new new YouTube channel, “Virtual Reality Piano”:
I have created a YouTube channel (Virtual Reality Piano), in collaboration with Sul Ponticello magazine. It is the first channel of its kind on YouTube. Videos are recorded in 5.7K (ultra-HD), 3D with an 180° field of view (VR180), and high-quality audio. The channel is devoted to featuring mainly contemporary piano repertoire.Gustavo Díaz-Jerez
I encourage you to visit the channel and subscribe if you like it, it is completely free. Virtual Reality offers a totally new, intimate experience, and has great pedagogical potential. The first videos feature some of my Metaludios for piano. I will upload three new videos every month. For a completely immersive sensation, it is advisable to watch the videos with VR glasses, although it is also possible to watch them in interactive (2D) format.
We are also delighted to see a very good review of Gustavo Díaz-Jerez Maghek CD of seven symphonic poems in “das Orchester”, a German orchestral music specialist magazine:
Gustavo Díaz-Jerez paints virtuoso symphonic stories here. His modern program music is peppered with small musical surprises and brilliantly orchestrated.Heike Eickhoff, das Orchester
All seven symphonic poems are available from Composers Edition. Please head over to the composer’s orchestral music page for more details. Enquires may be made via the works pages or get in touch here.
