August brings a series of premières for Graham Lynch works across three countries (and beyond)!
On Tuesday 3 August The Helsinki Guitar Duo will give the first performance of Graham Lynch’s Sonata for two guitars at the Puotila Chapel in Finland. The fabulous duo have become regular performers of Lynch’s music since Rody van Gemert’s discovery of his music back in 2013.
I was delighted to discover that behind the deceivingly simple looking music lay a profound musical world that has convinced and amazed me ever since.Rody van Gemert
Sonata for two guitars is a substantial and demanding work in three movements
On Tuesday 24 August Paul Sánchez will give the first performances of White Book 3, Absolute Inwardness and the US premiere of The Couperin Sketchbooks at the San Francisco International Piano Festival. These performances will be online, with a link supplied nearer the time. The concert will also be screened live at the College of Charleston.
On Wednesday 25 August Constance Chow will give the first performance of Sideshow for piano, a 15 minute work in seven sections. This will be at Downing Place United Reform Church in Cambridge, UK.
The Couperin Sketchbooks is proudly available for perusal and purchase through our website, as well as other works by Graham Lynch. We are looking forward to publishing White Book 3, Absolute Inwardness, and Sideshow shortly after their premières.
