On Wednesday 11 November, Erika Fox’s Several Fanfares will be premiered by Joseph Matthews at the Royal Academy of Music, in a concert live streamed from the Duke’s Hall.
This piece is a commission for the 200 Pieces project, which celebrates the Royal Academy of Music bicentenary with 200 new works written by 200 selected composers.
Despite the current situation for concerts, many performers have been making it onto the concert platform. October saw the Austrian premiere of Erika Fox’s Kaleidoscope for flute, harp, vibraphone and cello by Windkraft who are also planning further performances of Fox’s works in 2021.
In the meantime, John Tilbury and Carla Rees are working on Erika’s piano and contrabass flute piece Lament 2020. We can’t wait to hear it and to proudly publish the music score, as well of Several Fanfares.
