It’s not often that composers get featured in exhibitions so to be featured in two at the same time is quite something! The first show featuring Composers Edition’s Odaline de la Martinez is Hitting the Right Note at the Royal Academy of Music as one of 20 women composers from the Academy’s history. The exhibit is open from 29th June to 18th April 2019. The second is 100 First Women Portraits by photographer Anita Corbin, with de la Martinez included alongside the likes of Suzi Quatro, Angela Rippon and Felicity Aston. The photograph celebrates her as the first woman to conduct a BBC Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. You can see this exhibit at the Dyson Gallery, Royal College of Art – from July 20th to 22nd August 2018 – more details at first women.
