On Friday 30 June from 6.30 pm, London’s Schott Recital Room will see a recital celebrating the release of Brian Inglis’ debut piano music album, ‘Living Stones’, out in September this year on the Sargasso contemporary and electronic music label. Artists Gabriel Keen and Christopher Scobie will play pieces from the album (several of which are live premières) including Wedding, the titular Living Stones inspired by Hildegard of Bingen, and the spectacular Concerto for Piano Solo (Homage to Alkan). Plus short pieces by Alkan (selections from the Esquisses op.63), Michael Finnissy (from the Gershwin Transcriptions), and Sorabji’s Desir Eperdu. More information and tickets here.
