Mark Bowden’s Five Memos US premiere

Mark Bowden Five MemosThe 2016 BASCA Award winning Five Memos for violin and piano will receive its US premiere in New York on Saturday 14th October, performed by Esther Noh and Jacob Rhodebeck of Lost Dog New Music Ensemble. The concert kicks off a season-wide exploration of contemporary music from the UK, including music by James Macmillan, Jonathan Harvey and Michael Finnissy.

Founded in 1995, Lost Dog New Music Ensemble is the longest-running new music ensemble in Queens, New Yorkh.  They have performed across the United States and Europe. The core ensemble is comprised of flute, clarinet, piano, percussion, violin, and ’cello, and is led by Artistic Director and composer Garth Edwin Sunderland.

Lost Dog will also be performing more of Mark’s chamber works in early 2018 – watch this space!
